LA art-punk duo No Age played a film screening/art party at 21 Mercer on Friday and I still don’t have my hearing back today. These guys along with Deerhunter, Girl Talk and White Williams were the only live shows that truly impressed me during this past year’s SXSW. No Age don’t really just play, they explode at 11 in your ear live (I’m still not sure how a two piece can be so loud and raw as f*ck). So in a sense their recordings don’t totally do their live acts justice.
The full length Weirdo Rippers on FatCat Records was released today in Europe and will be out August 28th in the U.S.
